As I promised.
This is the drawing by which Gabriel Vargas was recorded at fifteen years old.
( Everything a child prodigy right?)
( Everything a child prodigy right?) turns out that since he was thirteen years and worked for several newspapers, including Excelsior and Novedades.
This latest Gabriel Vargas asked to do a comic and he did "Life of Christ"
One day she came running to Excelsior to make their collaboration when a Texas man with gun and stops him and asks him if he made the story about Christ. Vargas said and is carried pushing a jeep and taken to Police Station.
Chief ( a guy carrying a huge cigar and smugly ) said he was in serious trouble for drawing religious propaganda because that was punishable by law.
As they did not believe that at his age could draw like ( believed that someone concealed ) it went into an adjoining room for questioning.
After long hours of anguish the owner of the newspaper Novedades ( Ignacio HerrerĂas ) came to get him out.
Gabriel Vargas stated that the only satisfaction that he got in that cartoon were the warmest congratulations of everyone (including newspaper's owner). But they had to suspend it threatened to close the newspaper.
would have been interesting to know his work "The day of traffic" to undertake the 11 years of age ( and time was at the Museum Estanquillo ), but as soon as has the rise.
